Default Kawasaki Z750 - any opinions?

I have seen a nice black 2008 (new shape) Z750 for sale and wondered if anyone had any experience or owned one of these?

I would be using it on the daily commute down A roads, the odd ride out and the occassional two up riding

test rode a 09 model, had very spongy suspension which i didn't like, sure it would be ok with some tinkering. Also didn't seem much more powerful over other naked 600's in its group

Thanks for the quick replies, the MCN review says it has spongy suspension when pushed. Did you find that? Do you think it would be alright two up?

I like the speed triple as well but this 08 Z750 is only up for £3600

didn't push it as hard as i could of as the dealer had a large amount of my money as a guaranty. but yeah it felt lazy, didn't like it.... get a test ride and see what you think everyone is different

im with amplimator tho, the street is better and i nearly bought that instead

Soulkiss has one, and he's very happy with it.

Indeed I am and would totally recommend it.

Many of the Soho Massive have had a shot, maybe they will pipe up soon

Suspension wise, its not that bad, but then I am not really qualified to comment having ridden only a few bikes.

It uses the same frame (but different swing arm) as the Z1000, so now that they have been around a few years, getting a Z1000 shock and swapping it for the Z750 stock one may be an option.

Personally I am considering swapping the swing-arm if the parts becomeavailable when I have the money - mainly for cosmetic reasons tho.

If you test one, then the sweet spot for the power is about 7-7.5k, if you can keep it there or above its quite fun

Mine has ABS, does this one?

Thanks for your replies, I do really like the look of them but the only issue I have is I dont think it would be very comrtable two up. With me and the wife it would be about 25 stone.

Do yourself a favour and get a thou, much better for 2 up riding and the z1000 is a much much better bike all round, better yet a speed triple.

Would have been closer to 30st when I was 2-up with T.

No real problems either in town or out of town.

I DID howerver get the Bagster one-piece seat to make things a bit better.
