In recent months I have developed a, lets say, financially un healthy desire for motorcycle mechanics, engineering and all things related.
There's not much I enjoy more than mooching around the internet planning my Sv's next upgrades, apart from actually working on the bike. I haven't even really finished my Galfer upgrade and I'm already looking at whats next, suspension me thinks. I also like getting nice new shiny tools so, all in all not the cheapest of hobbies out there. So I'm just wondering if there's anyone else out there who also quite possibly enjoys working on their bike as much as, if not more than actually riding it. Or am I just a bit weird and in dire need of my first track day? ![]() ![]() |

Second job - sort out that downpipe
![]() I'm the other way, tools only come out when I break something. I'd much rather be out putting miles on it ![]() |

I do like working on the bike! When I fitted my HEL lines there was much cursing but after 4hours of fitting, bleeding, testing, bleeding testing it was done and I had a grin on my face. I would do more work but I am limitied to what I can as I don't have any paddock stands or a garage to store the bike in while its in bits.
but I much prefer ![]()

I'll be polishing up that down pipe soon enough and that indicator is okay for now. It's completely unaffected by the exhaust. I can ride for hours, get off and put my bare hands on that end can. It just doesn't seem to get hot. I am going to be removing those indicators soon enough an putting on an indy/ brake light cluster to trim down that **** end some more.
Some advice on sprucing up that down pipe would be greatly appreciated though. |
