Default Tyre Pressure with 120/70 front?

Do the tyre pressures have to be adjusted if i have a 120/70 front tyre? Also because of the taller profile on the tyre will it affect me fitting a fenda extender??

Cheers guys

I'm going to go with no on both counts. The lovely thing about pressure is that if the tyre's bigger you will end up putting more air in for the same pressure, so it sort of works out nicely in this case.

I'm less certain about the fenda-extender thing, but I'd have thought it would be OK unless clearance is particularly close as standard?

Didn't think of it that way but makes perfect sense.

Will try fenda extender see how i get on may have to wait till tyre change and get 120/60

I'm getting 120/70's fitted tomorrow and I have the extenda. I'm sure there's enough clearance but I can confirm this once my tyres are fitted

shouldn't be any issues Dave/ Andrew.

If you're unsure about road pressures YC maybe able help, as he ran them on the road for a while

Leave pressures same, be right, see what you like.

With storm at least, this is only tyre I tried both /60 and /70 of, with /70 it felt to tip in better at 38 cold, but was more harsh when leant over and did not feel as planted. Think 33 cold let it all move about a bit more. 29 cold was even better cranked over and hot, but not so good before it warmed up.

I did not notice any negative impact of /70 tyre. 33 cold is avons recommended pressure for front, works perfectly well with either profile. And funny it seems to work best all round

I got Pirello Diablo Corsa's or whatever they are called came with bike when i bought it, i have to say stickiest tyres i have experienced on a bike i can lean the SV way furthur than i ever did my ZZR or RVF which both ran on Bridgestone Battlax BT020's.

Haven't actually checked pressures since i bought it 2 months ago, shocking i know.

If they are track supercorsas they are brilliant. But watch it they can start to seep air when they start getting low in tread.
