Default Triumph Sprint ST

evening chaps,

Anyone on here got one of these? I'm possibly tired of my hornet for a number of reasons, its just not hitting the spot like my previous bike did.

Is the ST a reliable mile munching piece of british brilliance or is it an oil using, badly finished chinese cheese machine?

I'm going to go and test ride one soon, just wondered what the org thought.

my first one an 06 with about 12k on it was of the oil burner variety, the replacement, tip top, is an 08, had 14k on it when i got it, i've done just over 5k miles and not one problem, my advice = get one

are you normal height i.e. 6ft 2 ish and does it keep you out of the wind nicely on motorways? and, is that motor a torquey bugger or a screamer?

I agree with Andy, get one, you won't be dissapointed.

I love mine, it's a bloody quick bike IMO, comfortable and it's british, oh and it looks the Bolox as well.

Or a tiger. Same engine, bit bigger for your height, I'm six two and mine fits perfectly.

If you want power get a Daytona 955. These 1050's have all been tuned down for the soft boys.

Since when has normal height been 6 2ish lol, i'm 5 10, and the motor is torquey.
I don't often go over 150 so find it plenty fast enough lol. Agree the Tiger may be a better fit for your height, i wanted one but was a tad too high for me, well with a pillion struggling to get on that is.

Torquey? you can say that again, 5th gear, 30 mph and will still pull like a train.
I hardly change down on overtakes, no need to
