Used both, but dunlop now make the 211 gp's for the SV, which I am using. I love them but most pirelli users hate them.

I am a life long Pirelli user but now need to switch to one of the above. I have used the 208's a long time ago on an R1 on the road, and hated them. Most people say the 211's are great. Whats the feel from both the D and M ??

Top advice that mate.

For what it's worth Toot, I ran Michelin power ones for half the year and they were fine. They take a bit longer to get up to temp and I didn't think they had the outright grip of a brand new set of diablo's but they held onto their performance much longer than the pirellis, which seem to really drop off after a weekend. I only changed the rear cos it was worn out of shape, grip was still there. That's probably their best point but if you're getting them cheap and changing them regular it's not much of a bonus. You're ****ed. Retire

+1 on what Flash Gordon said. Take a bit of warming up but run loverly from lap 3 on. Run the rear at 19psi hot!

Also throw into the mix the V profile front and you have the quickest steering tyre in the track! Suspension takes a little more sorting with Michelins though.

Glad to hear the 211 is now coming out in the Sv sizes. The 209 GP was Horlicks! I ran them at what Dunlop recommended and they were dangerously unstable on the straights. Turns out you need to run them about 5psi up on whats recommended. Some recommendation! And that infor came from Dunlop! Thats what our Irish road racing cousins run them at and love 'em. The 211's were fantastic on the 600. Loads of front end feel. Much more than the Michelins and Pirellis.

But outright grip on the front goes to the V profile Power One. You can feel it rippling the tarmac.

Both these tyres (Power one and GP211's) run a low poressure rear of about 20psi so it'll be interesting to hear what the wear like.

How many people had asked for a deal on your Scrubs so far Toot?

if you've been using Pirellis, I found that they move a lot more in corners than Dunlops. That's why i like them, when exiting a corner I can just pin the throttle on the SV. Michelins didn't actually feel that much different in my opinion but didn't last as long. Each to their own but I run 31psi front and 27 rear. My brother runs the same pressures on his 400 too. I think you're gonna have try them and make your own mind up.
