Restricted ECU help

Hi all, I have a Restricted ECU on the bike supposedly fitted by the showroom on my k6S. although I have a suspicion that he hasn't actually fitted it and instead left the original ECU on it. I have both ECUs available at home, one in the box and one obviously fitted.

I was wondering how to tell the difference, Can anyone share some light on part numbers maybe for the two? or top speeds capable?

If the full ecu is fitted then you will find that there is a surge of power (not huge as with a gsxr but it is there) after the revs pass 7000. With the restricted ecu in place it will get to 7 and wont feel as if there is much difference. Also it will be difficult to get the bike over 100 restricted, not that I recommend that as your test.

Doubt he will have just left it as it is a 2 minute job to swap it over, well worth doing for the sum of money he will have charged to do it for you (and to sign the form of course).

ah well I'm afraid I have been naughty, It didn't want to go any further, that was down hill slightly too, but that was on the motorway the eve of the royal wedding, miles apon miles of open road to myself to get home on but I don't make a habit of it.
