Hello org
One of my discs has become quite loose at the carrier. Have a look at this video. If you look where the disc meets the carrier you can see how much they move. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GFnlH...e_gdata_player I can turn the rivets between the disc and carrier around. I know sv discs do have some movement but is this too much? What could cause this much movement as 2 months ago the discs were solid??? Also getting metallic noises under braking and the lever seems to be pulsing as if the disc is warped? |

The movement shown in the video is quite a lot and not something that would normally develop in 8 weeks. They looked a little rusty, if the bike had been standing they may have seemed tighter due to rust, now, used, the movement is evident.
Not sure on these bikes but certainly on BMWs you can replace the bobbins. Might be worth removing one and see if the wear is on the disc/carrier or the bobbin, if its the bobbins replace them quickly before you do damage the disc/carrier. |

dont think you can change the suzuki bobins but it wont damage the disc or carriers and will last for thousands of miles with out any trouble, have run them with twice as much movement on a gsx600f and only changed them because they were wore thin(about 30000miles) and i had a new set of discs instock, the mechanic at my local dealer said he had never seen them fall apart and they are safe to use with loose bobins |
