Default Would colour coding reverse parking sensors affect their performance?

Looking at these from maplins but would like to colour code them to match the van (blue)... Would a thin layer of spray paint affect the ultra sonic operation at all?

and while we're at it, I once parked one of these:

which are just shy of 7 metres long, in an 8.5m parking space with 2 cockney street cleaners stood watching me at 5.30 in the morning just up from tottenham court road on the way to the british museum - straight in, no kerbs, no bumps, no forward adjustment, all in about 5 seconds... I even got the thumbs up from them, so ferQ

When we fit them to cars we in most cases have them painted .and It's makes no odds to the performance.
You need a plastic primer for best adheresion.

cool cheets nTec guy on the t4 forums said the instructions which came with his said to apply one thin coat of paint to avoid upsetting them too much - if you guys do primer & paint without any drama then I'll aim for the middle ground

as stated already - plastic primer and then colour match (spray not brush - too thick)
