Sad,

I would hope that if I was drunk enough to get on the back of my lad whilst he had been drinking without lids, off road and come a cropper. That I felt no pain and that no malice would come against my lad.

A sad tragic accident. the lad has enough to deal with without prosecution

I agree...I would find it hard to argue against a charge of drink driving, but I would hope that there would be no more than a missadventure charge for the death. I would also hope, for the sake of the family that it was no more than a suspended sentence. Sentencing is set to punish a crime and rehabilitate the offender. This lad will never be this stupid again and he's recieved punishment enough IMO.

accidental death-no punishment that the courts sentence him to will compare with what he has to live with for the rest of his life-shame.
