Default just had a dyno

hi folks just got my road legal mini twin dyno'd a shawn taylor racing and it made 67.37 bhp at the rear wheel and a torque fig of 41.5 ft/lb at 6500 rpm is that ant good??

Out the crate new a SV is 69bhp & 45ft/Ib

out of a crate 69bhp ??suzuki being a bit hopefull so i have been told ??


well its got a full micron system bmc filter but the they said there is carb probs too lean!! choke's are sticking they think ?? but got another set of carbs that need a refub ... what jets should i put in ???

Ah that's a bit better assumed it was a fuel injected one which supposedly output 71/72hp or something from stock.

Put in some decent carbs (plent of grease on the moving bits & particularly choke) and jet it and I guess you'd see an improvement.
Unsure on the jetting (never done it on a 650). Have you chopped off the airbox 'snorkel'? (if this is done on the curvy)

its a 2000 sy!! chopped off snorkel ??? tell me more ;.)

However it says next to it that de-snorkelling doesn't increase power, I thought that with a performance filter, the removal of the snorkel should allow the engine more air and if it's jetted correctly this'd bring increased power. But I'm far from an authority on this!

theres a lot of talk about desnorkle been not mini twin legal, best find out first
