Default Yoshimura exhaust query

Hey guys just a quick question.

Just decided to go have a late night tinker with my exhaust, and I've come across what seems to be a baffle (Correct me if I'm wrong) Does anyone know is this can be taken out?

I've taken a few pics

it's not a baffer, it's a sort of mini catalytic converter, it's a very tight fit, I tried to remove one yesterday, but couldn't in the end I just broke it out leaving the outer ring in place the fins are quite brittle and break really easily, bikes aren't tested for emissions so no reason to keep it unless you want to.

Before

After

Cheers Mark.

break it out then clean it out with a dremel then start the bike and stand back as all the metal bits fly out

Just leave it in, there's no real point in taking it out. No performance gain, no weight gain, just takes time to cut out.

I seriously doubt it, especially from a rider's position. From any other angle it would be just another annoyingly loud exhaust

Yeah like the other guys said i doubt there will be any performance gains, might sound a lil bit different. Went for a ride without any exhaust on last night... deafening pretty much sums it up. Few nice pops when you ease of the throttle its awesome :P
