Default Fork Rebound/Pre-load Initial Set Up:

Changed fork oil on a set of cbr600 forks. Having problems with rebound adjustment on 1 fork. Does anybody know in what position you lock up the pre-load lock nut? (Internally to the forks) Apparently there is a set way to do this but does not explain in the Haynes manual.

Default Re: Fork Rebound/Pre-load Initial Set Up:

Adjuster all the way out, then wind it in 2 turns (or however much adjustment you want, 2 is plenty) then wind it in until needle bottoms in seat gently, then nip locknut.
