Default Fitting new levers?

I've searched through the forum, and I'm probably being stupid anyway but -

The clutch lever is held on with a bolt and nut but the brake lever has a screw and a nut. Is it normal, did the previous owner bodge it, does it matter? Probably in that order. Then I can order some nice new Chinese (aaaaggghhh the world will end and I'll die, I know) levers - probably the Moto 777 ones because the blue looks better than the 2wheels ones.

Ordered a pair from Moto-777, about £32 after exchange rate. Blue with silver adjusters, I'll post some pics once they arrive.

Well, they've arrived in exactly one week - pretty good all the way from Hong Kong.
Good (if boring) packaging.jpg
Good, if slightly boring, packaging. I didn't get those nice cloth bags!
Positive adjuster.jpg
Adjusters seem very positive
Nice finish.jpg
Anodizing seems very consistent and milled finish is lovely and smooth
Nylock nuts.jpg
Nylock nuts should hold it all together

Hopefully they'll go on nice and easy at the weekend, watch this space...

Make sure they return nicely and are not notchy.
Raving davies had his brake lever sticking on while on our camping weekend just gone, he had to return it by nudging it back himself, he sanded it down and lubed it, then it was fine.

Thanks for the tip. I got the resident bike-nut at work to fit them (he's restored a Royal Enfield Bullet, an old Excelsior and two Velocettes so he knows what h'es doing!) and they went straight in. Look great, feel great, work great. No sticking of any kind. Off into the garage fit my LED running light this afternoon....
