Default More power to SV650?

I'm having the older SV and I love the bike but... I think it needs bit more horsepowers so any suggestions ? I've heard about big bore kits are they worth money and are they reliable ?

cheapest way to increase your power.

Trade it in for a GSXR 750

for what it costs to reliably upgrade the SV lump. An all round superior bike would work out the most economical upgrade.

How much power do you want and how much money have you got?

Firstly, how doo

Secondly as above

Thirdly

How old is the bike?
How many miles?

The quickest and easiest way to get gains is:
- New air filter: BMC race filter or similar
- Good service and throttle body/ carb balance
- Everything adjusted and moving properly (Chains, cables etc)

If you are still going after more power, cam works like reversing the intake and exhaust cams or a set of kents and a set of 35mm minkuni flatsides (don't anyone has had any massive success with flatsides)*

*Do you research on these before diving in

I've heard about performance cam or crank shafts... That's about all I can offer

There's always the obvious but expensive roots of

Full race exhaust system,
Higher flow rate Air filter
Power Commander (injection models only I believe)
Bore out to 700/750 cc
Gas Flowing

These are all just terms I've heard and thought should get thrown in to the mix. I know absolutely feck all about the nitty gritty details.

You mean 39mm flatslides I presume.

People who really know their stuff, like TWF, have massive success with them.
