Default Dash/Clocks Earthin Point?

Problem: My clocks keep resetting intermittently, (speedo, rev counter and fuel guage), more so when my side lights are on, completely off when main lights are on. From reading various threads on here, it seems I may have a dodgy earth. This in itself is fine, but I can only find the one earth at the battery terminal end going to the engine (I think). Playing with this seems to make no difference though.

My question is: Is there another earthing point on the frame near the front somewhere, and if so, does anyone have an exact location?

Any help appreciated.

the earth is on the motor behind, the breather pipes.

That is the only one I could find when I had problems.
It sounds like the speedo drive is at fault mine did similar when the sensor packed up.

The test in the haynes manual.

It seems to work spot on for like 5 mins at a time though, with correct speeds etc, then resets, as if i had turned off ignition and then turned it back on again.

(to be fair, I'm not too fussed about the speedo, I tend to ride VERY slowly, honest - it's more the fuel gauge, I've run out twice now, does my head in!)
