Default ooohhh dear

took the rear wheel off to get a new tyre. so while i had the wheel off i thought i would clean the inside of the swingarm which is when i discovered that i have an indentation of about .5mm into the alloy where the spacer goes on the sprocket side. its exactly the same size as the spacer and there is a lip all the way round the indentation.

my only conclusion is that i have either not tightened the spindle up enough (which i doubt) or i don't know my own strength and tightened it toooo much.

just out of curiosity has anyone else done the same?

just off the phone to my bro. after he stopped laughing he told me what i had done (he was a bike mechanic). i had not slackened off the spindle nut enough when adjusting my chain which caused the leading edge of the spacer to plough into the swingarm, when tightening the nut and using to much force the trough has made way for the rest of the spacer to bed in at the back of it. lesson learnt....

yes i'm a numpty
