Default Motorcycle accident statistics - well worth a read!

Found this report on motorcycle accidents whilst researching for a reply in another thread, It's clearly well researched and although it goes against what I had thought were the facts, I thought rather than dismiss it as rubbish - I'd provide a link to it, if you read it, it gives good info on motorcycle accident statistics - although the first few pages are more to do with the way the report was researched and compiled. Diiscuss? I couldn't find a section on safety (shame on you) so I'll put it here.

Why should there be a "safety section". Shame on you for thinking we should such a section.

Safety is a personal issue. Beyond the current requirement for a helmet, the rest should be and is upto the rider.

whilst there is an overwhelming element of male bovine excreta within that report. It is interesting to see the majority of motorcycle accidents are right of way violations and only 20% of those is the rider wholly or partly responsible.

My conclusion therefore is to ban car drivers from the road. motorcycling will then be 80% safer.

Did he really? That sentence alone makes me doubt the validity of the report!

I know and have read that DfT report and back Tim in the levels of male bovine excreta contained within it
