Default Insurance Hikes

Who has seen massive insurance hikes on their bikes?

I am seeing my £800 go up to just under £1000 and £650 excess. Ok i have three bikes but the increase may be % the same as others. Also i know im in london which makes it all the worse.

Single biggest factor seems to be TPFT vs FC, it halfs the quotes or even in some cases reduces them down to a third.

Mine was £350 last year, its £185 this year. Car insurance has only gone up £70 but I now have a 4.5 litre v8 and not a 2.8 litre flat 6. Might just be london prices that are being hit hard. Excesses are still massive though on car and bike.

on any insurance policy i get quotes for, bike or car, the difference between TPFT & FC is pennies, so i opt for the FC. Thats with zero voluntary excess too. Direct Line wanted £200 more for this year than last year, yet i have another year of NCB. What suprised me was that they were not even willing to haggle or attempt to give me a better deal. i went onto an Admiral multicar policy with the rest of my family, only £600 for the year instead. Bike is due next year, will see what it comes to with my claim on it

My TPFT cover triples on a North London address, hence why I unfortunately will be garaging my bike in Cambridge when I move

Just renewed with lower premium than last year, and half the excess. Result.

Yup mine seems to be going up, I'm just sorting my insurance out for next year. They keeping making up BS reasons why its more expensive...

I wouldn't mind but garaged, alarm, safe neigbourhood, 4 NCB they want more than last year! Oh they went to say my job is high risk, so they need to charge me more for that what a load of crap!

Have you tried to compare web sites?
Slightly different I know, but my house insurance renewal came through and was double last years premium.A visit to go compare has shown it to be available for a third of the renewal quote.
They do try it on.
