Default the hack is back...

Picked up 02 naked, 15k documented miles. Owner had a spill and then left it sat under a cover which as we all know = condensation. He then had it tarted plus a years MOT. So she's a bit cosmetically challenged, but the motor is sweet. £1050. Art end can, somewhat the worse for wear, de-baffled.

Early Sunday morning 140 mile ride home. Time to get acquainted. Ended up lying on tank (no screen) elbows on knees. You can't keep that up but we saw a decent top speed... It had virgin 020s on it, they're fine in a straight line but not so inspiring cranked over. Ride height needs addressing, I don't mind cramped legs if the result is massive clearance but we decked out a couple of times.. lower pegs would mean even more touching down, so we need to look at this one. Plus we need a screen suitable for 6ft naked riders recommendations gratefully received.

Much as I'd like to bin the 020s, winter is supposed to turn up at some stage and they have a reputation for being good in the wet. The bike is crying out for something like racetecs but we have to be practical (and solvent).

Rear suspension fine, front a bit soggy and a tad divey but again, in winter you kind of want some give. As well as the screen and possible saddle enhancement (re height) she'll be popping down to the dyno at some stage to see what's happening. Scrounge rather than spend is the hack motto
