sfv gladius recall - SV650.org

just had a letter from a local dealer to tell me my bike needs its rectifier sorting on my gladius,strange ive had nothing from suzuki,so i checked and sure enough. heres a link so you can check if yours needs work.

bikes off to dealer on weds 10 am hope its not too wet

DVLA send out the letters and they are going out in batches, the recall has been on going for a while now but there was some concerns over parts supply from Japan due to what happened there earlier this year.

Nothing to be worried about and its only a 30min or so job.

As SV650Racer says, this was flagged a while ago. Father-in-law has a Gladys so I asked our local dealer if they knew anything. They told me the same thing; that the letters are all sent by DVLA and will get to each affected bike in due course. Letter arrived about two weeks later and job was done very easily.

A suzuki 650 v twin engine with a dodgy rectifier - who would have thought it.

Are they fitting a H*nda one instead ;-0
