Just seeing the other thread got me thinking about this but battery powered gear.
I'm not asking if anyone knows where I can buy them, I can do an internet search and find battery powered heated socks from £10 a pair up to £50 a pair some waterproof some not, same for gloves and most use a 'D' cell battery. But does anyone actually have any? I am thinking battery powered as opposed to powered off the bike (this includes Hybrid where you can run either a battery or from the bike, don't want this, too expensive at first and would probably want to get a pair or two each for me and Grunty), just want battery powered. The socks and gloves would be good for the bike and most seem to state a 3-4 hour life or 4-5 if using different batteries but they would also be good for when we are out walking the dogs or if I go out on a 4x4 response call in the bad weather. Cheers.
