Default Comms headsets advice please.

Hi Peeps,

wonder if you guys can help me out.

Me and my mate bought some comms kits so that we can keep in contact however theirs too many wires for the PTT function so we though AHA go with VOX.

I've been looking around and have found 2 that look ok but just wanted some advice, the links are:

Any advice that could be given would be fantastic.

Thanks

JT

Buy my autocom, I guarantee any cheap headset you buy will be useless above 30mph

It might be worth giving it a go for less than £20 but my advice would be do not waste your money on the cheap ones:
  • Ear pieces are uncomfortable once you have a helmet on
  • They cannot integrate with other systems (eg mp3, phone & satnav)
  • Anything over 40mph makes them completely useless

Throat mic sounds interesting, though I reckon you'd sound like ww2 bomber crew

This kit has VOX and is for full face helmets, helmet speakers & microphone

Don't bother with the throat mic system one, we've used something similar at work and if the mic isn't in the correct position it won't pick up your voice and you will sound like WW2 bomber pilot.
