Default the sv is nearly back :)

hey guys

as seen in these posts i crashed my little sv christmas eve, i was going to sell it for parts but after calming down abit and realising i would want another sv anyway i decided to do a cheap get her back on the road streetfighterish jobby. still needs the renthals, bracket for speedo, solder cables for speedo (currently in blocks to see if connections where correct) and undertray fitted but getting there.

if anyone in the essex area has a tank for sale please pm me

i would like to stick some gixer forks on the front but think it may be very costly.

i went with a vapor speedo and really happy with it, for those using the same speedo how have you fixed your speedo cable (mine is just down inner front fork and i will probably epoxy it in place.

i still need to make a bracket for the speedo, but the physical installation of this unit is easy for novices if you follow the threads on this site,

my bike is pants compared to the others on here but i like her and still want to show some piccys

That's looking nice, it's the same look I'm building up at the moment but only got the Renthal bars, shorty levers and Braided lines. I want to get black rims as well but it's just to expensive to get them done.

What exhaust is that? and what Model of Vapor?

Also the tank looks in better condition than mine

Its a cut down scorpion race can, my can was damaged in crash so salvaged it by taking angle grinder to it. Im using the black 752 600 vapor. The yellow brake lines and tire tape will be coming off and either going all black or black and white. How much did you pay for your levers?

Looks good mate. Prefer it now to before tbh! But then I like black naked curvys.

They're Pazzo style levers from Asia, my brother also has some on his SuperDuke and also rates them highly for £24 - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Brake-Clut...item4153f9f145

I'm still torn on what exhaust to get, I'm tempted to buy a slip on from an R6 say and fit that because there's so much more choice.

The R6 slipons if the tiny trumpet thing, sound crap.
Also that front brake hose looks really tight, is there enough slack at full fork extension?

Don't worry, I'll be riding a Harley before those things ever touch my bike .

I was thinking more of Laser Xtreme/MIVV Double Gun, or a short Akra Slip on.

Back on topic, I have no idea which Headlight Assembly I want. The one you have is nice but I find it's a bit to generic for Street Fighters. I'd love the assembly off a Duc StreetFighter.

Them levers look really nice, i was thinking of changing the whole lever assembly but the way you have it the cable that detects when the clutch is in will still work. Yea your right about the length of that brake cable there is availible slack so i will change that. My headlight is pretty standard but i do like the aggressive look it gives to the bike. I havnt put the baffles backbin that little can yet and even though its a bit on the loud side it does sound awesome.
