hi everyone im new to this forum, i currently race a 2009 sv 650, i need to run a 5" rear rim for better tyre choice for this years manx grand prix, i have aquired a 1996 cbr 600 rear wheel can anyone tell me what else im going to need to complete it. thanks in advance regards rob.

I run CBR600F3 wheels front and rear on my 2001 SV650S. I had to sleeve down the standard CBR600 sprocket side spacer and change the wheel bearings, because curvey models only have a 17mm rear spindle (I believe pointy models have a 20mm rear spindle) and shorten it slightly. On the brake side I shortened a standard SV spacer. I don't think you will have much trouble - just measure up carefully and if you can't have custom spacers made you could consider modifying standard ones.

You need the wheel and CBR sprocket carrier. The wheel goes straight in barring you need to shave down the spacers a few mm either side.
