Default Donnington round *spoiler warning*

Superb ride from Sam Lowes in the 2nd Supersport race, a well deserved win.

And real edge of the seat stuff in the 2nd WSB race, marred by that final bend crash. Melandri, you tit!

Was glad to see that mostly everyone saw it was his fault - I would be interested to hear the Italian media's views though!!!!

Thought Sykes did really well too - I think that the Beemers are a class act and the kwak does so well to get the pace it does!

if he had managed to stop his bike to make the corner we would all be calling him a hero now. He clearly didn't want to settle for second, can't fault him for that.

I don't blame the bloke at all. You would fault him if you ran the BMW team, all those points lost, especially as he was never ever going to successfully make the pass and the corner. Needs to be reminded he's in a team or it sets the scene for later races. Great race though.

Wasn't really Melandri's fault both bikes didn't finish though. Fair play for taking a punt, i would have.

I've just watched the crash over again a dozen times. Putting aside which riders come from the UK, I wouldn't put any of the blame for this at Melandri's feet.

Haslam didnt appear to be affected by Melandri's failed pass, in fact he went straight past before Haslam had to commit. In my opinion this was Rea taking an opportunity as it was presented, and Haslam attempting to close the corner off towards the exit. Two bikes, one piece of tarmac, fail - 50/50 racing incident by Haslam/Rea.

Well I cannot see any other reason for Haslam being forced off line and giving Rea the opportunity. Without Melandri's attempted overtake they would have both finished and got a hat full of points for the team. Don't get me wrong I think he did the right thing for himself, but if I was team owner and paying his wages I'd expect him to see the bigger picture.

You're not a racer if you don't go for that pass. **** the team, "i want to win."

Unless you're pretty much a stipulated second hand to back up a clear lead driver (Like Schumachers team mates at Ferrari) anyone man, women or child racing is going to go for that pass.

You could argue that Haslam was offline and should have thought better about simply darting back to the apex and into the side of Rea. Simple racing incident, Melandri didnt cause an accident IMO, he was a victim of one.

All three were just trying to make a last-ditch attempt for the line really, so fairs fair. BUT if Melandri hadn't done that lunge down the inside then none of it would've happened IMO!

At least Biaggi didn't win though eh?
