Setting suspension for pillions - Street Triple?

Hi all,

Took the wife on back of STR today, and it felt very unstable at the rear and slide quite a lot in corners any ideas what I need to adjust?

No, I don't think so? The street triple r just doesn't seem happy with a pillion seems extremley unstable?

tyre? did it have enough pressure for two up?

did it feel alot lower than normal with someone on the back, could do with a an adjustment to the rear pre-load

you checked tyre pressure. some bikes need more for pillions, if not is it correct can play a big part

I put one more click up on the preload and pressures are 34/36 may try 34/38 or even 40?

My GSXR takes a pillion fine, I've never adjusted the suspension on it. I adjust my riding style to cope with the pillion.

Like I said, if you are riding the same way two up you do solo, the bike wont like it. You have to change the way you ride with a pillion on the back.

And I agree with you and do adjust my style maybe it needs more adjustment, but my zx6 took pillions fine same as my ruinous and even my sv did but not the triple?

Silly question, have you read the manual?
It will have a chart to which you can select the settings that suit your situation, it will say solo, solo plus luggage, rider and pillion and rider, pillion and luggage.
