Hello, have recently come off the bike as posted in 'crashed my curvy'. My local mechanic would charge £45per hour to change indicators and fit a front left fairing panel. They would probably stiff me for 2 hours.
Are there any enthusiasts who would like to help me do this and show me how to in future? I have the indicators and Fairing panel and am in Penarth, South Wales. I have some basic tools but not many. Thanks Ryan (P.S , the front right panel is cracked but my replacement piece has had filler on it , it looks uglier than the crack. Is it easy to get these things touched up?) |

If you are willing to spend a bit of time on it you can do as I have just done and repair the cracked panel with a soldering iron and some suitable welding material such as a cable tie.
How quickly do you need to get it back on the road? |

Dont even have a soldering iron , the crack on the right isnt too bad its just the scrapes. For my new panel i more or less need the old filler sprayed. I can live with the right panel but I could do with the left panel and the indicator being fixed, I tried before and it was tricky.

Haynes manual is your friend. fairing pannel when I took my first ever pannel of my bike I took pictures after every nut I removed then simply looked back through them.
Or take them out lable the holes 1-10? & then place the nut's & bolts in order? A soldering iron will come in handy in future may be worth getting a cheap one for now? I thought I'd never need mine again after my re-wiring the 125, needed it again for the Satnav & the new rear end of the SV. |

So you have 2 parts, the lens & the wiring?
I presume they have been ripped out from the crash? The front indi's come wider than most of the optional extra indi's, is the problem they won't fit or there is nothing to hold them inplace? any pics of the problem? I think you may need the indicator spacer. (Below) ![]() If the bullet lens is completely detached & has no cable running into the bike it might just be worth replacing them, around £15 on Ebay. |

Crimp some connectors on each end of the wires. Or buy a soldering iron. You could probably pick one up for around £10 - £15. You'll still need to by connectors though.
