I'm just really starting to look into tyres for the season, so I'd like to canvas peoples opinions on what they're using for racing?
I've been recommended Pirelli Dragon Supercorsa Pros, but I think they've been superseded by the Diablo Supercorsa Pro. I've ordered a rear one of these for my trip to Spain ![]() So, what are people using and where do they get them from? Thanks for looking ![]() |

Hi mate, the majority of the field run the Diablo supercorsas... With bemsee anyway... There have been a few on michelins and dunlops aswell. I always get my tyres from AR Racing. Sometimes online, sometimes at the circuit.

The front will last that easy, Up here in Scotland alot of the minitwin guys (running at front) were doing near enough a season on front tyre.

well thats amazn, they must have some magic suspension settings as after a race weekend down here most fronts we used last season were tired to say the least.

Ended up getting a spare front. I'll be surprised if I need it, but much better to have it and not use it, than need one and not have it and end up crashing on knackered tyres! I'll be there in sunny Spain ![]() If anyone's interested in seeing how incredibly slow I am, I think the laptimes will be shown here. Don't compare me to this weeks times though, it's BSB and Moto2 testing! http://www.mylaps.com/practice/showTrack.jsp?tid=373 |

The tyres never seemed bad, its maybe down to our main track East Fortune been smooth and fast it wasnt giving the tyres that hard a time. You did get some that were changing as sets but most of us just never seen the point changing a tyre that was fine.

Even on a 3 trackdays I've killed a front ....... 8-9 weekends for a season, Not a hope. Even if your not competitive you'll square it off by then.

I've done a 56 second lap at Knockhill (0.3 of lap record so not hanging about!) on a tyre thats 6 months old and done about 5 two day race meetings. Id of happily continued racing with that tyre. Maybe should check some set up issues if your only getting 3 track days, cause I can almost guarantee you wont be pushing as hard as racers..
