Default Kinda saved a guy today :)

Was riding home after sleeping at my Girlfriends. this morning and i saw a guy on his race push bike (them with skinny tires) he was leant on wall clinging to his bike . So i spun bike round and help him . He started weezing like mad and eyes rolling in his head going in and out of cautiousness . He was holding him self up with bike . So i moved bike and got him to the floor and put him in recovery position and phoned for ambulance . Started to re assure him as he came back round . And a few moments go back into this fit of weezing and loss of strength. I was scared . But managed to keep him ok till ambulance. He was called david gill aged 55 from featherstone . And i hope you get better

Sounds like a heart attack or maybe asthma. Good work mate. Sounds like you did exactly the right thing. Good on you!

Good work.

Both my wife and I trained as first aiders and it's good to know how to react.

You did the right thing, moving him out of any danger and reassuring him, whilst phoning for an ambulance, and it feels good to help.

A mate of mine did a first aid course at work and a few weeks later revivied a 2 year old child who had drowned in a pool on holiday. The kid's Father still sends him cards on the anniversary and that was 9 years ago.

Nice one Joe, just been out on my bike for 27miles, plenty of us out today as the weather is fine.

Not everyone would stop to check if someones ok.

The only let down (if there is such a thing in these circumstances) is that you never really feel closure until you find out how he got on.

You quite possibly saved his life today, and if you never achieved (or ever will achieve) anything else in your life;- YOUR life saved another and so has been worth it, everything else you do is just gravy.

i know i will find out soon if he made it out of hospital , fingers crossed.
loads of people went passed in cars just watched and not help . i would always stop to help someone who looks like they need it.
just glad i could help the public and hope i get it in return if i ever need it in future
