Default Rusty inside of tank repair?

Check the inside of your k3's whilst doing other stuff i spotted this.

You can see it slighty but the welded seam has some rusty bits too. The opposite side is absolutely fine nothing at all. Looking at it its nothing major. Its very much surface. But i would like to know what to do to stop it from getting any worse. Looking closely i believe its been thinly painted on that side and thats what has caused the rusting due to little protection.

Thats a typical Suzuki tank

That isn't too bad TBH. Your best bet is to do the inside with POR15 and leave a little over and do the outside as per the instructions

Rub off the loose stuff and paint it with krust rust, then when the engine is hot (after a run for example) get in the habit of spraying the engine with some WD40 (about once a month in my case), this will envelope the bike in a cloud of the stuff; effectively coating the underside of the tank in a coat of it.

Cheers Mark.
