Default Which GSXR shock for my Curvy?

Could anybody tell me which year gsxr shock will fit my k1 sv650? Also can the spring be replaced on the gsxr shock? Or is it non servicable? Also is the gsxr shock a straight bolt in?

Im looking for a shock to suit my weight (21 stone) without spending a fortune,

Cheers

A quick search should find you this info pal;
01-03 GSXR600 325.5mm 325#
96-99 GSXR750 345mm 375#
97-00 GSXR600 375mm 375#
00-03 GSXR750 325mm 400#
04 GSXR750 332.5mm 408#
04 GSXR600 332.5mm 425#
01-02 GSXR1000 329.5mm 430#
03-04 SV650 330mm 430# <<<==== stock 2nd gen...
05 GSX-R 1000 332.5mm 450#
03-04 GSXR1000 332.5mm 480#
99-02 SV650 337mm 510# <<<====stock 1st gen
04-07 ZX10R 338mm 540#
03-04 ZX6R(636) 340mm 540#
99-03 GSXR1300(Busa) 330mm 700#

I could be wrong but at 21 stone you might be best with the Busa shock highlighted above.

Ok spring but too short IMO.
Will be an improvement anyway.

If you could spring for an aftermarket one that'd be best.

You can replace springs on GSXR shock. SRAD is best length though a spring so much heavier will throw the damping all to c*ck.

You could revalve too.

Would agree for someone up to 15st or so, but the OP says he is 21st. The best option really without going for an aftermarket shock is the 'Busa one mentioned above.

IMHO the OP should consider something like a Hagon replacement shock sprung for his weight. It will cost more than a second hand one but will be built for the job of supporting his 21st, so will probably do a better job.
