Dead children vs poo

Yes, a very unpleasantly titled thread. I was trying to eat my dinner while the mrs was watching embarrassing bodies. Man boobs and glued teeth didn't bother me too much, but puss filled warts on arses and varicose veins in an old woman's quim started to turn my stomach. I tried to enjoy my dinner, but when they got to a slide show of close up shots of runny bloody stools, I had to tell her to turn it over.

So we end up watching the news, where I am treated to mass graves of slaughter Syrians including the bodies of young children wrapped in rags, who were apparently bound, stabbed and shot. But that's fine! I can quite happily eat my southern fried chicken steak, chips and beans while looking at murdered people. No nausea at all.

So it looks like the media has successfully desensitized me to mass murder of children, but it hasn't equipped me with the tools to deal with a spotty bum and a bloody poo.

I find that really rather odd, and quite sad. This pursuit of information is destroying our compassion and our souls. I can't help thinking if there was no TV and no news, the mere story telling of a child's death would shock and stun us. Being bombarded with it every day has just made me, and many others, not really care.

We just can't be shocked anymore ... except by bloody poo.

Get fed up of watching the news, its depressing, and lets face it, is filled with non news to distract is from topics such as this. Stuff like this isn't always at the top of the list either sometimes, it was below 'the queens horses preparing for the Jubilee' either yesterday or this morning.....can't remember which, but it kinda made me think....oh so its not so important then!


What I dispair over whilst eating dinner, is how they time charity adverts of those in Africa starving....just to tug at the old heartstrings and put you off eating

fallout did you see the bit about faecal transplants? yeah basically someone elses crap gets whizzed up in a blender and mixed with a saline solution and then fed into a tube in your stomach. just gotta pray you dont burp!

For some reason about dinner time i notice there are more adverts for feminine products such as tampons, panty liners and constipation. Thankfully i've not been eating strawberries or chocolate at that moment in time

It does get on my t1ts a bit when the headlines are all about Beckhams new haircut or that fat tramp from atomic kitten getting coked off her knockers. Then, in other news, soldier killed, pensioner beaten by kids, idiot gets 5 days in prison for killing someone because they can't drive.

Actually I'll not get started on how ridiculous the law is when it comes to people destroying people's lives by driving like a complete tool. Gets on my goat. (I don't have a goat)

simple solution.. don't watch the news or stupid programs about peoples problems.

I can't comment on the desensitizing of emotions and the human tragedy that unfolds before us every night and day on the news media after you mentioned an old womans quim.
