Default Pointy CCT in a Curvy

Well my bike, or as I like to think of it, the gift that keeps on giving, has once again been kind enough to give me something to occupy myself with.

This latest issue is that my front CCT has started making the death rattle and so I'm going to have to replace it.

I know how to replace the CCT but I just wanted to ask if it is possible to use a CCT from a Pointy in my Curvy? I seem to recall hearing that it was possible although I'm not sure.

Thanks.
