Default SV 650 S Review VLog

Dunno if this will interest anybody, but I finally sold my SV a few weeks back. As part of the deal, I rode it to the new owners house a few days later. I took the opportunity to vlog the final ride, comment on what I loved about it and my one pet hate, and generally be a bit nostalgic.

Watch if ya have 13 minutes to kill and you're not easily bored!

Enjoyed your film. Thought about changing my SV for a more powerful bike but enjoy riding it so much that decided to keep it. You say that your X SV felt wobbly and unstable round corners. This could have been fixed with a decent rear shock. I have a Nitron rear shock and it makes all the difference. Bike is now solid round corners and handles beautifully. Anyway, enjoy your new steed although I suspect you'll miss the SV.

Thanks mate. I was expecting comments about the rear shock. I'm pretty sure an SV can be made to be very confidence inspiring with the right suspension set up. All I could comment on was how my totally stock X SV felt. Plus doubling the HP by going to a GSXR 750 is definitely a lot of fun!

yes the SV is mucho fun with decent bouncy bits but just lacks that 'holy feck' when you twist the wrist and hit warp drive.

Visited Pope the 6th a few months ago. Yorkshire roads are indeed superior so I'd imagine Scotch roads are even better than those. Will defo visit one day chap. But we do have one thing over you guys .... at least we get some sun now and then so we can actually corner in the dry!

They are crap roads but that is due to El-Presidente getting lost if he strays onto a B-road.

Talking about roads. The Brecon Beacons are a cornering heaven. I managed to give two guys on their GSXRs a good run for their money last weekend!

Shut it, slag. I've never seen you navigate further than the fridge. You've been to my house a few times and you still get lost! Even a toddler on a tricycle could manage that journey without getting lost!

Yeah! BlunderAce is the one who would travel south to get to Scotland.

Off to mid/north Wales tomorrow mate. Barmouth area. If the weather holds, looking forward to some good riding!

I didn't get lost, I just wanted to see if the speed cameras on the way to Newbury still work!
