Default Baffle out - now engine coughs.

Hello everyone i have a sv650s 2005 and i have a scorpion exhaust (looks indetical to stock one) which came on it when i bought it, i removed the baffle yesterday to see how it sounded and i wanna keep it out on problem is when you rev it, its fine, but as soon as you let go of the throttle for it to reach tick over it coughs? Anyone know why this is?

I will make a video in a bit and post it
