Default K&N air filter and restriction?

Hi all I have been thinking about getting a kn hi flow air filter,
but im on a restricted licence so I have washers fitted.

I was wondering if I would get any benefit from it as the air flow is restricted anyway, or would it benefit low down revs????

Have you fitted one to a restricted bike did it make any noticeable difference??

Many thanks..

K & N filter offers no real advantage vs the standard filter, apart from induction noise and if you plan on keeping the bike for many miles it'll last longer.

No point for performance reasons. They don't add much if anything on a full power bike.

My B and C has easily paid for itself given the price of standard filters and nearly 75,000 miles on it.

Thanks for the reply's that's saved me a few pound.
Is there anything that I could do to improve the performance a little without removing the restrictors.

I have over a year left on the restriction and short of retaking my test on direct access which im not even sure I can do as I have passed already .I would just like to be able to rev her a little higher before she starts to run like cr*p its sending me mental...

Nope.

You can retake the direct access, search for "accelerated access"

Umm why don't you just take the restrictors off? Why are the restrictors there if you dont mind me asking? I know some countries you have to start out on smaller powered bikes and work your way up. Dont know if that is your case. Not trying to get you to break some law by taking them out. But I would.

Oh yeah I'm not a fan of the K@N filter either. K@N wouldn't replace my filter when it started falling apart, they said I must have done something to it.

Eviltoy, the OP is on a restricted license so it's only 33hp.

Basic history,

Some *rsehole over here decided to let europe decide, er, everything, and pay them millions and millions a year to f*** things up.

Then some cheese eating faggot who had never seen a motorbike before decided it would be much safer if you had to take 10 tests instead of one and brought in some silly licence requirements, like not being able to ride a proper bike under 21.

And they're about to change it all again.
