Incredibly sad. Feel very bad for the family of the woman as well as they could never have forseen something as tragic as this. Bad times for all involved.

that's awful, sounds like it could be one very big tragedy! at least i hope it is cos i want to see that guy running again in the olympics etc!

shocking.. having lived in SA, one line in that report is very true - "you live in fear of your life in SA" and I can only imagine that he doesn't go to sleep with his prosthetics on, so would have been even more fearful of being attacked, knowing he has no way of escaping quickly.. this has probably only made the headlines because of who it is, but I'd hazard a guess this happens more often than we get to hear/read.

i too lived in SA with my grandparents for 3 years and there are countless murders and shootings, we had a man on the run from the police run through our garden at one point

Just to throw the cat amongst the pigeons I don't think he would have been charged with murder if it was a genuine accident.
If you read some reports the police are saying the was a domestic related dispute at the property but it doesn't say weather it was immediately prior to the 'accident' or last week. I am in the camp of people that believe it was just a tragic accident and she was trying to surprise him. |

Sounds incredibly fishy to me. Rows? Shot 4 times? Sneaking in in the dead of night on valentines day? Could be a tragic accident, or could be a poor cover for a domestic gone wrong.
