I think this might have been mentioned while we were at Le Carnage.
Would anyone be up for a tour of Ireland next year? I'm thinking more of a move on every night a do a circum-navigation rather than using a central base. That would probably mean either camping and getting somewhere early enough to set-up tents every night, or staying in bunk-houses / cheap hotels etc. I know from experiance of my previous trips I tend not to be getting in until 7 which might be too late for some. Has anyone done a tour of Ireland? Is it worth doing? Any recommendations? |

I could be very interested in this Tom. Never been before and want to see it. Trust me camping is the way to avoid things running into silly money.

I would but it would depend on...
How long for? Cost? Location, ie, where in Ireland ? Weather is quite crap in Ireland, especially the north, would party poop it for me if it was rubbish weather. |

Initial thoughts: Maybe 5 days.... but would need to actually do a route and see if that was feasible for the mileage. Cost: Going from what Dan says above probably camping so cheap, ferry from holyhead. so camping, food and petrol. Location: A complete loop of Southern Ireland. I'm indifferent to the North really..... although if anyone really wanted to go there it could be looked into. |

Maybe, depends on funds. I have a date with the Alps next year which is priority.
