At the factory 4500rpm at track days they tend to go for 6000rpm.

Its 5000 revs and should be the same as the ACU handbook

It should be 50% to redline, which is acu as Harry said. Most endcans are under 100 db with baffle.
The classics are brilliant under race rules, 120 db or open depending on the meeting sent from the shredded wheat factory

Has anybody ever had trouble with the noise test at Snetterton on a SV650?

Do you have a baffle you can use for the noise test then just take it out once you've got your sticker?

The TDO's will just pull u back in if you remove your baffle, they are used to that trick.
SV's with after market cans usually pass the 102db limit, if it sounds a bit fruity it will pass, it is sounds loud (i.e. cut down cans or packing loose) it will fail. |

I have a full M4 system and measured 102 at Snetterton with a baffle fitted, think 102 was the max that day.
Was at Rockingham on Tuesday and it was 101 with baffle, their max was 104, both were taken at 7k. Although this page says different.............http://www.msvtrackdays.com/bike-testing-noise-limits Looks like I've been tested as a 4 cylinder bike at both circuits ![]() Last edited by Bunkle; 12-09-13 at 07:51 PM. |
