2000 SV650S, black, £1100

2000 Suzuki SV650S, black, 37,000 miles on the clock. MOT until 26th March 2014, taxed until 31st March 2014. I have the V5 in my name, and the 2 most recent MOT certificates. I’ve owned this bike for a year and covered about 5000 miles on it. It’s in good mechanical condition, with a few cosmetic faults as shown.
Asking price is £1100.

I bought the bike a year ago with:
- Spyball alarm/immobiliser
- New Bridgestone Battlax BT-021s; these still have plenty of tread left, front & rear
- Double bubble screen

Since buying the bike I’ve added:
- Belly pan
- Fender extender
- K4 GSXR indicators
- Oxford Hot Grips
- Philips H4 headlamp bulbs
- Iridium plugs
- New oil & filter
- New chain & sprockets around 2000 miles ago
- New clutch cable
- New clutch pushrod
- New fork oil & seals around 500 miles ago
- £400 brake overhaul, including reconditioned calipers and a new front disc

The bad points:
- The bike has been kept covered but outside by me, and outside by previous owners from what I can gather. As such it’s not immaculate, and there are quite a few scuffs and scratches, the vast majority of which were on the bike when I bought it. I’ve shown most in the photos (where they’re more clearly visible than usual as the bike had been waxed), but they include some crazing and scratches to the bodywork paint, some scratches on the tank, and scuffs to the silencer and mirror heads.
- The common camchain rattle is present, but nothing to be concerned about
- The front fairings are cracked were the indicators mount (again, common)
- The chain snapped a few months ago; this was due to a failed clip master link, and nothing to do with the bike itself. The chain has since been inspected and refitted with a riveted master link, but the incident snapped the clutch pushrod. This has since been replaced as mentioned, but the oil seal has started to leak slightly. This is an easy fix, and a new seal is around £12 delivered, but I haven’t had the time to sort it
- The neutral indicator wire was also damaged when the chain snapped, so now the neutral light on the dash does not illuminate. It also means the bike can’t be started on the sidestand, even in neutral
- The pass light switch has never worked during my ownership

- The OE grips
- OE indicators
- New choke cable
