Exclamation De-restricting a 33bhp Pointy - how?

Hey guys, at the moment I have a pointy 2003 which is restricted to 33bhp with a FI ECU restrictor. Instead of paying the garage to do it is there any way I can remove my restrictor kit? I've seen that you replace the ECU of the bike and I have a friend who has a 2011 pointy he is breaking, so would I be able to use that ECU?

Any response is always greatly received.
Much love, Kieren!

Hi,

Is it an Fi washer kit, or is it an ECU? The ECU's are Suzuki, FI are an aftermarket company that make washer kits. If it is the washers, you can remove them easily yourself. If it is the ECU, then you will need to find a full power single plug ECU. The K7-> bikes are twin plug and will not work.

HTH
