These are really good. Fully adjustable strong and worth the money. Buy direct from their web site and you get them cheaper still. Only bad thing is the bolts made of butter. Get some decent stainless ones and you will have no problems with them. On the rear switch matter don't worry it will fit with a bit of brute force it fits nice and tightly and will not fall out.
I love my dan Moto rear sets had an off in Feb last year bent the rear brake and had to heat it up to straighten it and works perfectly. And Locktite all the bolts or you my find a few issues if you don't. |

In my experience, buy Chinese and you buy twice, is no point cutting corners on these things if you're going to be using the bike often, when it all goes wrong you have very little chance of getting spares and a long wait for any warranty replacements.
Gsxr rear sets fit the sv650 and that also means after market gsxr rear sets would to, gilles for example are very well made, there is spare parts to be had, all you need for the sv650 to use gsxr rear sets is the gsxr gear rod and a longer rear brake pipe. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUZUKI-GSX...item2c7b8e723e |

There's mixed reviews on the dan moto rear sets, the quality of fixtures and fitting is shocking but also a lot of issues with shift rods bending and poorly tapped bolt holes, I'm sure some turn up and are in good usable condition but personally I would rather spend an equal amount or bit more on some second hand gsxr gilles etc |

As to the Danmoto stuff, I've had 3. Two crashes on track means that these were the best and cheapest replacements available. In fact, both held up quite well and only parts for one side was needed but by the time you add up the cost of a shift rod here and a pedal there, you might as well buy the pair considering how cheap they are. No one is disputing Gilles' quality. But I also tried to find these second hand and at the time it was nigh on impossible. I refuse to pay £400 for new rearsets that are only marginally better in quality and actually don't look as good on my bike (in my humble opinion). Now, the criticisms. The shift rods as far as I'm aware is made of some hard lightweight plastic or some lightweight material. It is far stronger than the SV's stock (crap) shift rod. Fixing's. I completely agree. They are made of cheese. But why is this such a big deal? They'll break in a crash before they fail. You only notice the bolts from taking them on and off. But new bolts are nothing, and its not like stock Suzuki bolts are great. So for the cost of another few quid you can get marine grade bolts if you want. Durability. These things are tough. The adjuster plates a shift pedal is solid. My only criticism is that the actual shift/brake lever peg design is not so great as it will unscrew itself after a while and could come off during riding. Nothing that a good thread lock can't fix though. You buy your Gilles and pay for second hand, if you can find it and guarantee its in good nick. I will carry on buying new and trying stuff that people say will never work from a distance or other stuff I shouldn't buy because "it wasn't made for an SV". I won't even get started on the Chinese brake discs, which supposedly "warp as soon as you look at them". I for one will not advertise where I got my nice new shiny discs, that'll keep the cost low enough so I can get some more new ones, whilst you lot buy second hand warped discs. I mean, you should see my bike! I call it "The Mutant" because half of it is not even an SV! Yet it keeps going strong. OP, do your research. Don't be afraid to try something new or different if you can afford it. Some things will be a "miss" but don't be surprised to get a few successes if you're willing to look further afield. I've ordered the rear sets and cost £109 posted which is good. I will see how good they are when they arrive. Thanks for the advice, it's always good to hear multiple opinions.

They're alright for the money, but I won't be buying them again.
The aluminium gear change rod bends and snaps, the bearings are terrible. Theres a very badly tapped bolt hole on the brake side that connects the M/C holder to the footrest, it looks alright but a bit of force on the brakes and it will fail. Not what you want to happen in an emergency. To be honest the main reason i wouldn't buy them again isn't the quality, it's just the fact that whatever setting you put them at they're always uncomfortable for a 6'2'' bloke compared to the standard ones.
