K6 New spark plug cap issue

Hi Guys,

Just a little issue I'm wondering if anyone has seen before... I recently replaced the front spark plug cap as I thought the old one was dead. Turns out this didn't cure my issue and now the new one won't stay on the spark plug - the bike has been running fine since I changed it a couple of weeks ago but then this morning started intermittently running on one cylinder. So i checked the cap and found this one pops on and then really easily back off again no matter how hard I push it on. The cap was bought from Robinson/s Foundry and I believe these are OEM? The old cap was really tight and difficult to pop off.The only posts I have found around this issue suggest the spark plugs are incorrect but as I didn't change the plugs at the same time I don't think the problem lies there.

Has anyone seen this issue before?

Check the plug, it may have an extra metal piece on it that unscrews (Bit that goes inside the cap) also looks like it shouldnt come off but it does.

I know you said you never changed plugs but have a look, it might have been ok with the old cap as it was old and could have been a larger diameter than intended.

Just seen I forgot to reply to this, just had to adjust the seals a bit on the new cap to get it to fit properly. Simples!
