Default Amp not working - advice from the mighty org

Morning Orgers.

I have a NAD C370 amp and this morning it's decided to stop working (along with the SV, I'm having a good day).

Just no power. I've checked most obvious thing - the plug connections and changed the fuse, and also that there is no damage to the power lead where it goes into the back of the unit - it wouldn't be the first time the cats have disconnected my separates chasing a spider. These are all fine.

Thanks to the amp being wired in to a cabinet under the stairs right under everything else it's going to a helluva pain to get it out so before I go any further, what's the most likely reason for this power failure? Does it have an internal fuse that could have gone kaput? Or is it more likely to be the protection circuit capacitor in which case I'm going to have to take it apart very carefully. Anything else obvious I should be looking for?

Failing a simple solution I shall be looking for somewhere in Essex to take it in for repair so any recommendations?

if the main power plug is fine then it might be the internal fuse/s if it is then something else will be up with the circuitry so best take it to a hifi repair bod. the C370 is a good amp so worth paying to get it fixed. my bets are on old worn capacitors as they have a short life span. try phoning NAD for your local repair centre.
