Default tank protectors

Do you guys have them fitted? Mine came with the standard 'up the middle' one but I've noticed rub marks where my knees touch. My bike is black so I'd quite like just clear stickers like you get on cars around common stone chip areas. Any recommendations

The clear stickers are "helicopter tape". You can buy sheets of it or small cut sections on eBay and cut your own shape that you ewant out of it. But, it will be quite slippery if you're trying to apply it the the areas your knees grip. Better to get some proper knee / tank grips to protect and give you some grip at the same time.

That's true forgot about needing it grippy for my knees. Helicopter tape? Why's it called that?

I think it was originally to protect helicopter blades from chipping, in particular carbon fibre ones.

A Baglux tank cover does a good job of protecting the tank, just make sure there is no dirt between it and the paint.
