Default Non-starter - dead fuel pump?

Hi, have finally pulled out the sv after a very long winter break. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to share my enthusiasm, as it defiantly refuses to start!
It's a 2004 sv650s.

I've checked the battery, and it is not the issue. The ignition comes on but I can't hear the normal priming of the fuel pump, only a much shorter kind of buzz/click.

As I'm crap at describing, here's a short youtube clip: https://youtu.be/dQrmSNVpWmg

If I try to start it, the starter cranks and tries, but there's just no spark. I put it in dealer mode, and it came back with c00 - no issues. Gah!

I've searched round a lot and it seems it could be the fuel pump that's packed up? Then I saw from somewhere else that it could be the ignition barrel/switch that's iffy?
This got me suspicious, as last year some **** tried to steal it and rammed a screwdriver down the ignition barrel, at the same time as he (or butch she) broke it off the top yoke to crack the steering lock. The bike however started perfectly alright last year despite this. Or the long break killed it?

I'm basically running around like a headless chicken, and don't really want to start replacing things without having any idea if it will actually help.

Any ideas? Even anything that could help me diagnose/narrow things down a bit.

could be jammed throttle body linkages or clutch/sidestand switch.

would the starter engine turn if it is the clutch or sidestand switch? I thought it wouldn't even try to turn the engine in that case.

Regarding throttle body linkages - is it even worth me checking those or should I just give in and send it to a garage?

will the bike turn over without pulling the clutch in?

lift the tanks and have a look. take the airbox lid off and see where the top butterfly flaps are, you could also try gently coaxing them to move when starting. if they do move then just give the linkages a we spray with acf-50 or wd40.

That solved it, thanks!

A pop and a bang, then she came into life again. Now on to all the other stuff that needs fiddling with.
