When the wife and I go to bike rallies I have my oxford panniers, tank bag and a rentec rack with the tent, airbed, ground sheet, sleeping bags, clothes, stove, kettle, food, toiletries and waterproofs oh and some times some beer for when we arrive!!! The bike is a bitch to move around when pushing it but once we are on the move I get used to the extra weight.

Try and spread the weight evenly over the bike!!! ie the heavier items in the tankbag.

Yuup, I have Oxford tankbag, panniers and tailpack that I bought off ebay when they were all up for £60 new. Not overly impressed by their quality, nor the fact that you have to break out the waterproof covers if the weather looks threatening.
Hard luggage all the way! How do you do it, erm, same as you would by car! ![]() |

The suzuki OEM top box is pretty good if you don't need to take a pillion. Huge!! Add some panniers & a tank bag & you're away.

Depends on how much you want to carry.
Oxford panniers and a tank bag. However if im only going for a few days then I might only need a tank bag for a few clothes, and wash kit, etc. Remember - filter to the front of the queue at the passport booth (cars love that!) Dan |
