Default Is this a scam, or am i atlast able to get my SV???

I have just sold my TTR250, althought it was an very good bike, i cannot wait to get the SVS.
The only thing i am a bit nervous about is the fact that this guy paid me with a cheque.
He will come back in about 2 weeks to collect the bike once the cheque has cleared. After I had agreed and the guy had set off back home, i thought about the scams that are going on, His check was from the 'Yorkshire Bank', is there any way once the cheque has cleared and i let him have the bike, the money can be taken back from my bank account?

Cheers

Technically it can be taken back after a cheque is cleared, but I wouldn't have thought that would be likely if both banks are in Britain.
You could phone his branch to verify it, if you wanted to.

cheers, but what would i need to ask his branch? They wouldnt tell me any of his details or how much money he has in the account, would they even tell me if he was registered with that branch?

You have his account details in front of you, you can give them the details and they can confirm them.
It doesn't matter how much money he has in his account, if the cheque clears.
You should also verify that the bank is genuine.

If you do all that, you can be pretty sure it's real.

Just make sure the bank is genuine as well, otherwise it defeats the object of verifying the details.

I think 99 is X or Y, btw.

'shrugs'
I don't own one, so not 100% positive, but I was under the impression it went.
X Y K K2 K3 K4 K5

So a 99 should be an X.
