Default Front brake caliper clunk!!

Hello Everybody,
My mate has got a year old SV650 and he is getting a clunking noise from his front brakes (when he applies them of course). On looking at them the mounting pins that hold (& slide) the front bit of the caliper against the back bit have quite a lot of play in them. You can hold the outer bit of the caliper and pull it about and feel the movement and slight clunking in them (it obviously is worse with the weight of a moving bike behind it). He took it to a Suzuki dealer who said this was normal and just packed the pins out with grease. This fix didn't last long so its back to clunking again each time he brakes. Being a GSXR100 owner I am not familiar with these types of brakes and was wondering if this was normal for these bikes/brakes and if so is there a decent fix for it. Any info gratefully accepted as it driving my mate mad. PS Its still under warranty but the dealer is saying this is normal for these bikes so theres nothing more he can do.
Thanks,
Steve.

It is one of the favourite tricks for sv's to do this along with their knocky forks. Sliding calipers do have a tendency to do this, so unless there is a LOT of play, I wouldnt worry too much.

Dan.
