New Sv prices - SV650.org

Hey all, new to the forum so apologies if this has already been covered.

Firstly,...thinking of buying a new sv650s.
Quoted two prices by local bike shop.... he says theres an old model and a new model....I was under the impression the k4 was the latest model?
Anyway...quoted prices.....8250eur old model.
8400eur new model.
Anyone know what he's on about? Does he mean old ex-04 stock by old model?

Secondly...how do you guys think these prices seem to compare to other shops?
Thirdly....at those prices ill prob end up buying second hand but there doesnt seem to be very many Sv650s's for sale about the place.
Any and all advice very welcome,

Well theres a K5 with black frame, K4s and before all have silver frames. Looks to me you might do better buying over here, but Im not sure about duty and registration.

Im sure theres a K3 or K4 for sale in Ireland in the For Sale section, although I dont seem to be able to find it. Maybe it was ebay.

made another couple of calls since last posted....k5 in limerick from 7500eur. Amazing how shops can be so different!

If you do decide to buy second hand have a look at buying from the UK. I know a couple of people who've done it and saved tons. Prob not worth it if you're buying new with the VRT and all.
